While slalom boats are fast and sleek, creek boats are short, stubby, heavy, and very slow. However, you can run creeks and rivers on a creek boat that you could never attempt in a slalom boat.  Additionally, you can take different lines in a creek boat such as rock boofs, rock slides, rock spins, and seal launches.  Here are some of my favorite Class V runs.

Because of scheduling conflicts with the slalom racing season, I can only run rivers during late summer and the fall, which prevents me from running cool stuff like South Silver, 49 to Bridgeport, and other spring snowmelt rivers here in California.  Maybe I should forget about this slalom stuff and just run the gnar?...hmmmm…..
